PLANNING YOUR WEDDING

At the first interview Mary will explain the process of getting married in Australia

Australian Law Requires:

  • That both parties be over the age of 18 years
  • A completed Notice of Intended Marriage (NOIM) (Download Form) must be given to the Celebrant no earlier than eighteen months and no later than one month and one day prior to the day of the Wedding
  • You provide the original of your birth certificates if born in Australia or if born overseas your original birth certificate and/or overseas passport
  • If previously married, confirmation of the ending of that marriage – divorce decree absolute or death certificate of spouse
  • Two (2) witnesses over the age of 18 years
The Ceremony
Mary can provide you with a standard wedding ceremony or guide you through designing your own personal ceremony for which Mary can provide:
  • The loan of a “Designing your Wedding Ceremony” booklet
  • Advice on how to individualise your wedding ceremony and include any cultural and special ceremonies
  • Interview opportunities and a rehearsal if required
  • A p.a. system and advice on music
  • A commemorative folder containing a printed copy of your ceremony
On the big day Mary will arrive at the venue well ahead of time to ensure that everything is ready to make your ceremony perfect. She will conduct the ceremony according to your wishes, attend to all the legal paperwork and then register your marriage with Births Deaths and Marriages.

A loving heart is the truest wisdom!
